01About this product

On shelves now.

The staple of every Kenyan kitchen, done properly. We source maize directly from farmers across East Africa, then clean it of pests, cobs, stones and metal, condition and degerm it, and mill, sift and fortify it with zinc and B-vitamins in Kenya. Every batch passes our quality checks before it is packed, so the bag you open is just as good as the last one.

05How it’s made

From the farm to your table.

Five careful steps between a farmer’s harvest and the pack in your hands.

  1. 01

    Sourcing

Our procurement team works directly with farmers and suppliers across East Africa, and buys only what meets our quality criteria.

  2. 02

    Cleaning & sorting

Everything that arrives is cleaned, sorted and checked, so only sound raw material goes into production.

  3. 03

    Processing

Each product follows a line built for it. Flour is milled, sifted and fortified with zinc and B-vitamins; the bran from that milling goes into Pakacha Animal Feeds.

  4. 04

    Quality checks

Every batch is tested against its specification before it is released. Nothing is packed until it passes.

  5. 05

    Packing & delivery

Packed, sealed and checked before dispatch — then delivered through our distributors, wholesalers and retailers to your table.
